Ping and Pong - happy pigs

Selected illustrations from the picture book about two pigs living in two different worlds. The wise book about dreams, friendship and appreciation of what we already have. I created the illustrations to the text of Olgierd Wąsowicz.

This is my Graduate Diploma project in University of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in 2014. Promoters: Janusz Górski and Anita Wasik. For the diploma defence came the special guest: Pig Raćka. TV report from the defence: http://pomorska.tv/informacje/materialy/spoleczne/obrona-dyplomu-inna-niz-wszystkie

The book received honorary mention in the International Competition for an illustrated children's book project CLAIRVOYANTS 2014. Competition was organised by famous publishing house "Dwie Siostry".

The international jury's verdict: "The second honorary mention was awarded to the book entitled ‘Ping i Pong – wesołe świnki’ (‘Ping and Pong – Merry Pigs’) written by Olgierd Wąsowicz and illustrated by Natalia Uryniuk. The book won our hearts by its audacious directness and impish naughtiness. When kids see it, they will say: ‘That’s my book, and no-one else’s!’. It is a big-format book, perfect for a gift and suitable to be kept under the pillow. Its most striking feature is a specific choice of colours that is not too sweet and enhances its comic touch. It is an amusing fable. What a book!" Daniel Mizieliński, Toon Tellegen, Klaas Verplancke

The jury received 521 projects from 25 countries: http://wydawnictwodwiesiostry.pl/clairvoyants/winners/

The book was published in 2019 by the Adamada Publishing House, Poland.
